Program Description
Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a term applied to schools, institutions, and educational programs that specialize in the skilled trades, applied sciences, modern technologies, and career preparation. It was formerly called vocational education. Teachers of CTE courses may come from a traditional teacher education program and have industry experience. They also may come from industry and need some education coursework. Students in a program at OSU would gain the educational portion with a Minor in Education focusing on CTE coursework.
