Program Description
The Technology Education (TE) program at Montana State University is a multi-disciplinary program of study designed to develop technological literacy through the study of past, present, and future technological systems and their impacts on society. Program content is influenced by the Standards for Technological Literacy, as published by the International Technology and Engineering Education Association (2007). The TE Broadfield Teaching option is designed for individuals wishing to teach Technology Education at the junior high or high school level. There is a critical nationwide shortage of TE teachers thus individuals selecting this career have little difficulty in securing a job as a teacher. The Industry Option provides students the opportunity to develop skills in a variety of areas plus the flexibility to choose courses that allow them to further develop in-depth skills for their chosen career path.
